Holiday Spice Cookies

These gooey holiday spice cookies bring all the cosy, festive flavour you crave—without the heaviness. Made with whole-food ingredients and naturally sweetened, they’re a wholesome treat you can enjoy fresh from the oven all season long.

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together oat flour, oats, baking soda, spices and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk melted coconut oil, maple syrup, egg (or flax egg), vanilla and applesauce until smooth.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients. Fold in dark chocolate and cranberries (and orange zest if using).
  5. Scoop dough (about 2 tbsp each) onto the baking sheet.
  6. Bake 9–11 minutes, until edges are set but centres still look soft—this keeps them gooey.
  7. Let cool on the tray 10 minutes to firm up slightly while staying soft in the middle.
  8. Finish with a pinch of flaky salt for the perfect festive bite.
