Decadent High-Protein Chocolate Cake

This Valentine’s Day, chocolate gets the love story it deserves. This decadent chocolate cake is rich, fudgy and deeply satisfying, made with nourishing ingredients like avocado, almond flour and high-protein Greek yogurt. It’s proof that dessert can feel indulgent and supportive — perfect for sharing with someone you love, or savouring all to yourself.

Directions: 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8-inch round pan with parchment.
  2. In a bowl, whisk all wet ingredients until completely smooth (blender works great).
  3. In another bowl, mix dry ingredients.
  4. Fold dry into wet just until combined. Stir in dark chocolate if using.
  5. Pour into pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake 30–35 minutes, until just set in the centre (don’t overbake).
  7. Cool fully before slicing into two layers.
  8. Ice and decorate as you would like.
  9. Tip: Chill overnight for a truffle-like texture, it gets richer as it cools.

Optional High-Protein Chocolate Frosting (no sugar bomb)

  • ¾ cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp nut or seed butter
  • 1–2 tbsp icing sugar or monk fruit
  • Pinch of salt

Mix until thick and glossy. Spread once cake is fully cooled.
