Sweet n’ Savoury Cute Roll-Ups

Let’s send them back to school with fun lunches that will not only fill them up, but will also FUEL them up! These wraps are so healthy, versatile, and delicious! Try offering both the sweet and the savoury combination the first time, and see which your child prefers. It will make the lunchbox successful in the days ahead; you will know that you are sending what they love, and they will feel apart of the decision process! In other words; the food won’t be wasted, and neither will your efforts! WIN-WIN.

Yield: 1 wrap (2 halves)

Sweet Roll Up

Directions:

  1. Spread the nut/seed butter all over the halved tortilla shell
  2. Sprinkle hemp hearts all over the top of it
  3. Sprinkle a pinch of lemon juice all around the banana; to prevent browning in the lunchbox
  4. Place the banana along the outer edge of the the tortilla shell
  5. Roll it up (don’t worry about folding the bottom to hold the contents in… the nut/seed butter will hold everything in place!)
  6. Lay it with the ‘seam’ facing down in the lunchbox

Savoury Roll Up

Directions:

  1. Spread the hummus/tzaziki (or both!) all over the halved tortilla shell
  2. Lay the veggies down along the outer edge of the tortilla shell; stacking them on top of one another
  3. Roll it up tightly (don’t worry about folding the bottom to hold the contents in… the hummus will help hold the contents inside! You could wrap the bottom with saran if you felt that it would help your child to eat it).
  4. Lay it with the ‘seam’ facing down in the lunchbox

Suggested sides: apple slices and cold (cooked) peas

There you have it! You, mama, have just made an amazing lunch. That’s a wrap!
