Maple Apple, Blue Cheese and Bacon Flatbread

Savoury apple flat bread is a great way to enjoy fall flavours in a unique way! Thinly sliced apples soaked in maple syrup and topped with roasted garlic and blue cheese and gooed up with melty cheese and bacon! All on a soft, pizza dough.

Maple Apple, Blue Cheese and Bacon Flatbread

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 475°F.
  2. Place the sliced apples in a small bowl and toss with maple syrup. Set aside.
  3. If using a pre-made crust, skip to the next step. If using fresh pizza dough, divide the dough into 4 sections. Stretch the dough and place on a small baking sheet, working the dough into a rectangle. If the dough springs back, let it rest for a few minutes then continue to spread it into the corners of the baking sheet.
  4. Layer the crust with half of the mozzarella cheese, slices of apple, half of the bacon, garlic cloves, and finish with chunks of blue cheese.
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden. Drizzle with additional maple syrup. Slice and serve immediately.
