How to Build a Buddha Bowl

Essentially, a Buddha Bowl is filled with many different ingredients including colorful veggies (raw, roasted, and/or sauteed), a grain of some sort, a protein (originally started with Vegan proteins, but many are adding non-Vegan forms of protein now), greens, nuts, seeds, herbs, spices, and then, of course, a salad dressing or other sauce of choice. They are an easy and creative way to eat a balanced meal full of a variety of foods that you love. There are MANY different version but the basic concept is the same and Nutiva does a great job of showing you the how-to steps to build your best bowl.

Directions

  1. Saute Brussels sprouts in Nutiva Organic Liquid Coconut Oil with Garlic. Set aside.
  2. Cook Forbidden Rice according to package. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, place cooked rice on the bottom.
  4. Then, add Brussels sprouts, tomatoes, radish, pea shoots, and tofu.
  5. Sprinkle with Himalayan salt.
  6. Drizzle bowl with 1 Tbsp Nutiva Organic Liquid Coconut Oil with Garlic.
  7. Serve, and enjoy!
