Covid-19

Steps we are taking to keep our stores safe

It is our goal to make sure that you feel safe shopping with us and that you have access to everything you and your family need. During this time of uncertainty, we want to be as transparent as possible, so we’re sharing some of the steps we've taken in our stores to limit the spread of Covid-19.

Creating a Safe Shopping Space
To support physical distancing we’ve installed plexiglass barriers at cash registers, and are asking customers to keep 6 feet apart from fellow shoppers. We will limit the number of customers in stores to ensure there is space to practice physical distancing.

Because we know that it isn’t always possible to physically distance, and to meet the health and safety standards set out by our health authorities, we have asked all team members and customers to wear either a face covering or face shield.

Due to the current provincial health order, we require a face covering to be worn while in the store. Thank you for your cooperation.

Increased Routine Cleaning
Our stores have increased the frequency of cleaning, paying close attention to PIN pads, register belts, bagging areas and other high touch areas such as grocery carts, hand baskets and cooler door handles.

Taking care of our Team Members
Our team members are taking precautions to safeguard their health, including staying home if they have any symptoms of illness or do not feel well. We are adding additional team members where needed to allow our existing team to mentally and physically recharge.

Health & Wellness Support
We will continue to provide the advice and education you are used to from Nature’s Fare, we simply may need to deliver it differently. For those of you spending more time at home, we suggest you support yourself with the food and activities that make you feel good. Try not to cave to the pressure to be constantly productive. Take the mental space you need when you need it.

Supporting a Safe Shopping Experience
In return, we ask that you respect the physical distancing measures we’ve put in place for the protection of you, our team members, and to comply with guidance from health authorities. Please have one member of your household do the shopping and buy only what you need so there will be enough for others in the community. Do not come to the store if you are sick, have a friend, neighbour or community group do the shopping for you. Wash your hands often and avoid touching items you do not intend to purchase. Pay using Tap when possible.

We appreciate your support. We will get through this together.

Thank you,
Michael Sherwood, CEO
