The Opportunity:

The Human Resources Generalist undertakes a wide range of HR tasks such as recruitment and onboarding, overseeing performance review programs, managing training and development programs and supporting with HR events and initiatives. This position supports all store location managers and employees by providing guidance on day-to-day HR matters, supporting with resource development, and collaborating on HR initiatives and goals. While it is difficult to capture all the exciting things you will do day-to-day, you can expect to:

  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding process to allow for a positive candidate experience
  • Determine alternate methods of attracting candidates in the communities Nature’s Fare operates
  • Research, recommend and develop training strategies and content for the organization
  • Develop training tools and content to support overall learning goals
  • Assist and support managers with coaching conversations and developing performance action plans
  • Assist with creating and executing monthly HR events that align with our core values
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies and procedures
  • Help to nurture and grow Nature’s Fare’s company culture
  • As part of a small and collaborative team, you will participate and help support various HR initiatives, as needed, such as health & safety, employee engagement, and total rewards

Qualifications We’re Looking For:

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role
  • Post-secondary education in human resources management or equivalent
  • Working toward or possessing a CPHR designation considered a strong asset
  • Experience in a retail environment considered an asset but not required
