Our customers love our fresh juices and smoothies, gourmet sandwiches and wraps, salads, hearty soups, entrées and an array of baked goods. ROLE:

The Bistro Supervisor is responsible for helping lead the team through living and promoting our five Core Values as well as maintaining the day-to-day operations within the department. The Bistro Supervisor is responsible for delegating tasks, ensuring outstanding customer service, exceptional product quality and a positive team environment.

  • Desire to support the Bistro Manager by actively working to meet standards of operations

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains a strong working relationship with the Bistro Manager, ensuring effective communication throughout the day on department priorities
  • Set priorities and the pace for the day for the rest of the team
  • Coaches team members and helps drives selling and promotion within the department throughout the day
  • Train and promote the standard of Customer Service expected by all bistro employees
  • Assists with creating task lists with the Bistro Manager
  • Facilitates production of in-store prepared items
  • Ensures all staff are up to date with products and ingredients trainings
  • Ensures all department checklists are completed
  • Follows up with staff regarding daily production tasks
  • Assists in training of new team members
  • Provides regular coaching and guidance for bistro employees
  • Adopts and encourages a positive environment
  • Assists with recording and monitor spillage, sending spillage reports on a weekly basis, as needed
  • Other duties may be assigned, as needed

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisor role
  • Previous food service or restaurant experience considered a strong asset
  • Food Safe Certified
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Effective communicator
  • Ability to work under time constraints
  • Able to delegate and direct the work of others
  • Knowledge of the retail environments
  • Ability to work as part of a team
