We are proud to announce that Nature’s Fare has recertified as a B Corporation for the third time, with 102.9 points.
What is a B Corporation?
Certified B Corporations are businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. B Corps are accelerating a global culture shift to redefine success in business and build a more inclusive and sustainable economy.
Society’s most challenging problems cannot be solved by government and nonprofits alone. The B Corp community works toward reduced inequality, lower levels of poverty, a healthier environment, stronger communities, and the creation of more high quality jobs with dignity and purpose. By harnessing the power of business, B Corps use profits and growth as a means to a greater end: positive impact for their employees, communities, and the environment.
B Corps form a community of leaders and drive a global movement of people using business as a force for good. The values and aspirations of the B Corp community are embedded in the B Corp Declaration of Interdependence.
Did you know?
Nature’s Fare was the FIRST retailer in Canada to become a B Corp.
We were first certified in 2014, and recertified in 2016, and 2018.
As a B Corp, we are part of an amazing community of 2,655 businesses in 60 countries, with one unifying goal: Use business as a force for good.
Each B Corp goes through a rigorous certification process, and must achieve 80 points minimum in order to qualify. The certification process audits how each company performs in the following areas: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment, and Customers.
In 2017, Nature’s Fare was selected as a “Best for the World – Best for Changemakers” honoree by B Corporation.
