8 weeks to wellness finalist: Renee Team Langley

Contests

renee-box

I am very interested in your “8 Weeks to Wellness” program which I have recently read about on your facebook fan page. I am really excited about this contest and hope that after reading my story, you might find me a suitable candidate for this amazing opportunity!  I really NEED to take back charge of my health and body!

A few years ago I was really unhealthy and at my highest weight. I tried to lose weight, but was having a hard time. After much searching and lots of hard work I got myself onto the straight and narrow by completely changing my life (with help and support from a naturopathic doctor, personal trainer, friends and family) and lost almost 40 whole pounds! I was exercising regularly and had eliminated gluten, dairy, wheat and yeast from my diet (which I had found out I had sensitivities to. Eating this way continues to be an ongoing, daily challenge.) I was doing really well until a surgery (not able to exercise) and vacation (very little exercise, poor eating habits and being in a small town that wasn’t able to accommodate my food sensitivities) derailed me, and sent me off track. I struggled at the beginning of last year (2011) but seemed to get some “mojo” back by springtime. I took up running and competed in the “Warrior Dash” race up in Whistler. Although I was very proud of competing, an injury from the race set me back (and put a halt to me participating in...

Contests

My name is Natalie Larose and I am 31 years old.  I live in West -Kelowna BC.

I am self-employed artist/designer(jewelry&clothing).(www.nateahstudios.com)

I have always been really interested in health and grew up eating organic food.

My weight has always been on the tad heavy side, although I have done alot of physical activity in my life,I feel like I’ve always been about 20pds overweight, and have many times told myself I would lose this extra weight,

but really it has never been done….  That’s why I’d love to participate in a program like the one Prairie Naturals is offereing.

My life and business are expanding  and I would love for my health to follow this trend aswell.

I am very interested in health and in new ways/products that can help optimize wellbeing.

Please do sign me up to win a spot in the 8 week challenge !

Well, my last entry was on day 3 of the Recleanse, so I will give you an update on the rest of the 7day cleanse.

So, Friday came along and I ended up making plans with friend’s to go to Big White and then have dinner after night riding….

Well, the dinner wasn’t exactly cleanse friendly, neither was the wine I drank with it!!   Yes I admittedly cheated, on the cleanse, what a bummer, but this is something I have learned to deal with well, while on a cleanse, you just have to get back on the horse and ride again!  It’s really that easy, and we’re all human so it definitely...

8 weeks to wellness finalist: Donna Team Penticton

Contests

To tell you the god honest truth I am embarrassed how much my weight affects my well being. From a sore back to low energy to low self esteem.I have played all the games from yo-yo'ing to the banana diet, and been on the roller coaster of life.
I need to learn how to take care of myself and I need some help!Obviously what I have been living is not doing me any favours...................and is not working!Tired of being tired and staying in bed (after working a really busy nite)almost all day because i felt tired and sore and my energy was sapped.
When I received the info about the 8 week challenge it felt like I was opening a new chapter in my life.Just the thought of how much it would change my life and challenge it at the same time.
I felt a spark that I haven't felt in a long time, which I hope explodes and lights a fire under my ass.
Thanks for the SPARK,and I look forward to the BONFIRE!!

I AM READY

It is time to change my habits and improve my health and quality of life. I am overweight and under energized. My doctor has shocked me into reality regarding my health. My cholesterol, my weight, my sugar levels, my skin aliments, need to be addressed now. No more procrastinating. “Let your food be your medicine and your medicine be your food”. That quote opened my eyes as I do not want to be a person JUST LIVING with a lot of medications. I...

8 weeks to wellness finalist: Marilu Team Kamloops

Contests

I saw your ad about the Prairie Naturals Challenge at Nature’s Fare and I would like to participate.

I am a 52 year old woman who is overweight, tired ALL the time, just finishing a 10 year battle with menopause (lol, no, seriously!) and generally feel “all over” unhealthy.  I am 5′ 5″ and am about 70 lbs. overweight.  I have terrible problems with:  retaining water, headaches, nausea, muscle pain and tension.  I also struggle with high blood pressure and anxiety.  I have been working on losing weight and have been considering doing some sort of detox, but there are so many out there….which one and which company do I trust?  The people at Nature’s Fare recommended you and I would really like to try your program of detoxification.  I thought I would enter your contest first instead of purchasing the product because I believe I would be able to write great testimonials if this works for me.  I feel so incredibly crappy now that any changes for the better would accentuate the believability of your claims.  I used to be a healthy, vibrant person so I do know the difference between how I feel now and how it feels to be healthy.

Submitted for your consideration.  Thank you.

I picked up the prize package at Nature’s Fare on Wednesday (25th).  There didn’t seem to be any instructions so I talked to one of the workers and together we pieced together what I was supposed to be doing.  Once I got home and...

8 weeks to wellness finalist: Greylin Team Kelowna

Contests

Hello,

my name is greylin*.  I live in Kelowna, BC.  I am requesting an entry form to the 8 Weeks to Wellness Challenge because it is the best possible thing at the best possible time for me.

to my detriment, I am approximately seventy-five pounds overweight and the least fit I’ve been in my previously very active life.  I am a fifty seven year old, postmenopausal woman.

twelve years ago I was almost invalid.  I have crawled out of that condition with much determination, and help from natural medicine and Nature’s Fare.  i now work part time and enjoy most days free from fibromyalgia symptoms.

I am highly motivated to reclaim the whole health which my bodymindspirit so desires.  i am aware that i need to overcome my carbohydrate addiction and several bad habits.  to accomplish this, I understand that I will need good support.

please support me.  thank you.

It’s been a best worst kinda week.  The best is:  that i’ve finally been victorious over late nite eating; i had enuf energy to clean and re-organize my kitchen and, once again, i am excited about cooking a balanced healthy diet; i opted for a second week of the ReCleanse 7 Day Whole Body Detox, adding Fibre and probiotics and Omega(s) and multi-vitamins as recommended in the 8 Week Program [i downloaded and printed two pages from the Nature's Fare website '8 weeks to wellness' information besides the Meal Plan in the Detox kit].  It is easy to drink 110 ounces (half my body weight in...

8 weeks to wellness finalist: Celia Team Vernon

Contests

My name is Celia, I live in Vernon, I am 39 and a single mom of 3 kids. (age 16,15 and 12)

When I found out about your contest I got very excited, as if this was designed exactly for me!! (and for everyone who feels like me as I know there are many of us out there)

I’ll try to be brief, but I think I need to share a bit about my history and my current challenges and life situation….it’s got to be worth at least a little a bit of empathy and compassion along with some eye brows lifting and grins….

I have a serious addiction to junk food. But I am determined more than ever to say my farewells to it  and to acquire tools that will support and help me maintain a chosen new set of routine and habits to enable me to be proactive and successful with kissing old habits goodbye.

I was raised on a processed food diet, with a very limited fruit and vegetable content….not to say that this is the reason why I continued eating that way, but it surely has played a role and an emotional-type attachment to the “comfort food”  has clearly resulted.

When I was younger and up until maybe 3 years ago- I was very active and engaged in various sports (I was a tree planter for 10 years during young adult years) so I think the active factor was enough to prevent me from being overweight (I hovered between 125-135 lbs...
