In February we ran our first “Share the Love” contest, in which we asked our customers to share their product success stories with us for their chance to win a 6 month supply of their favorite product. So many of you shared amazing stories and expressed tremendous support for both Nature’s Fare and natural supplements. This is her story…

I have spent 19 years of my life suffering from presumed IBS related bowel issues. Many times this problem was embarrassing due to frequent washroom trips and making travel very difficult. I was living in Prince Rupert at the time, with little resources or available information. I moved to Kelowna in 2004 where I began shopping at Nature’s Fare. Having a health food store like this was and is amazing! In 2009 I sought the help of a herbalist, in hopes to gain some control over my IBS. For one year I was on an elimination diet, eating no dairy, no wheat and many herbal supplements and Naturopathic treatments. These options were treating the symptoms not the cause, which I now believe and know to be hormonal.

In September I went to see Lorna Vanderhaeghe at her talk at the Kelowna Nature’s Fare. I was fascinated with what she had to share with women. I began taking her Thyrosmart as I believed from the evidence she presented that my Thyroid was not functioning properly. After about a month on this I decided to add Estrosmart to my Vanderhaeghe regime, as I felt that my estrogen levels were unbalanced. A miracle happened, after being on this supplement for only a month I began having normal bowel movements without urgency. This was not my intended reason for starting these products but for their effectiveness I am blessed. Nobody understands the anxiety that an over active bowel can cause, especially when prolonged over years. My daughter has also started taking Estrosmart to treat her endometriosis, and after only 6 weeks her years worth of symptoms are gone. I am spreading the word to all women, to start taking Estrosmart. Hormones are underlying to many health issues, and until you balance them relief cannot be attained.

These products, especially Estrosmart, have really changed my life, I am feeling good and looking forward to travelling, hiking and  living without the worries finding a washroom. Estrosmart has given me my life back and to both Lorna and Nature’s Fare I am thankful!
