Looking for some fun things to do with Dad this Father’s Day? Why not celebrate with activities that are fun for the family and good for the planet and your communities too!

Not only will this stimulate creativity but it will also welcome many species of beautiful birds to your backyard! A great way to spend time with Dad on Father’s Day is to get out and volunteer in the community. Sharing the experience with your family will certainly make for a memorable Father’s Day.

Why not create a Father’s Day memory that you can be reminded of each time you step outside? Try planting a special tree or bush in your yard that will represent the relationship between you and Dad. Along with memories of time spent together, the tree will also keep your air clean by absorbing carbon in the atmosphere.

For the more culinary minded, a great Father’s Day activity is a trip to the local farmers market. While you are perusing the stands, look for fresh produce to include in a delicious Father’s Day dinner, like fish tacos with salsa fresco.

And for those adult children who want to spend time with Dad, sitting on the deck and enjoying good conversation and an organic beer can’t be beat. Try organic beers from Nelson Brewing Company, Pacific Western Brewing Company or Crannog Ales, all British Columbia based breweries.
